Aloo Tikki / Potato patties for Burger


Ingredients:

1. Potato / Urulai - 250 grams
2. Peas - 1 Cup
3. Green Chilli - 2
4. Salt
5. Turmeric
6. Chilli Powder - 1 Tablespoon
7. Coriander Powder - 1 Tablespoon
8. Rice Flour - 1 tablespoon
9. Gram Flour - 1 1/2 Tablespoon
10. Chat Masala - 1/2 Tablespoon (Optoinal)
11. Amchur Powder - 1/2 Tablespoon (Optional)

Preparation method:

1. Cut the potatoes into medium-sized pieces and fully boil it with a pinch of salt.


2. Take boiled potato and peas in a bowl.


3. Now add in the Ginger Garlic Paste, Salt, Turmeric, Rice Flour, Gram Flour, Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Chopped Green Chilli, and Coriander Leaves. Chat Masala and Amchur Powder should be added for tangy flavor, but these are only optional.


4. Smash all the items together in a bowl, using a wooden smasher until they are fully smashed.


4. Now take the smashed batter as a ball and flatten it to the shape of patties.



5. Heat oil in a flat pan and drop the aloo Tikki or patties once it is fully hot. Fry it for 7 minutes in medium flame and flip it around.


6. Now Fry the other side in medium flame until the outer layer becomes crispy.


Aloo Tikkis / Potato Patties are ready for serving. For Snacks, this can be served simply with chutneys or sauce. For breakfast, this can be served with burger bun along with cheese.
